COMPETITION: Milk Monsters - the easy way to keep track of time when it comes to baby milk

When it comes to feeding your baby I am a firm believer of 'fed is best', we decided to combination feed Isabella so have had an insight into both the breastfeeding and bottle-feeding worlds. I also expressed milk, which we gave to her in a bottle so we really have had all the baby feeding experiences and each one has its own list of positives and negatives. Either way giving babies milk in a bottle is a key part of parenting for so many, but they can be tricky to keep track of.

Baby milk, whether it be formula or expressed breastmilk, can't be out and sitting around for a very long time. In the UK the general rule is that formula milk shouldn't be drunk after 2 hours and expressed milk after 5-6 hours (depending on climate, vulnerability of baby etc.). Life with a baby is busy and keeping track of the hours can be hard, at times almost impossible. I found the whole sleep, feed, burp, nappy change, sleep cycle all consuming and that was when I only had a newborn to focus on. Who knows what it's going to be like with a toddler in tow too?! The days (and nights) would pass in a blur, with no concept of time being acknowledged.
This is where Milk Monsters come into play. They are a group four different coloured monsters that easily attach to all bottles and have a timer displayed on a backlit screen. This makes them ideal to use both during the day and night, as they can be seen whatever the light levels. Also helped with aspects being glow in the dark, perfect for trying to find in the middle of the night with one weary tired eye open.

  3. Fed is definitely best! Love that slogan especially since I too mixed-fed when my daughter was a baby. She had trouble latching and I felt like such a failure :( So over that now. Fed is definitely best :) Dean of Little Steps

  16. These are genius. I used to get in such a flap about bottles and which one we were using next and it was over the right time to use it. My next baby (which I'm sure won't be too long away), I'll be getting these for sure. x

  17. Oh this is a great idea! So many times in the past I questioned whether the bottle was still okay to use or not. I probably wasted more milk than I needed to.
