WEANING: Making eating on-the-go easier with Oxo Tot

Our weaning journey is going to be starting again with Poppy very soon and this time I'm so excited! When it came to weaning Isabella (a whole two years ago now) I was nervous and felt overwhelmed by the whole process. There were so many products, advice and tips out there that I didn't really know where to start. However, a few weeks in and I felt more relaxed, eventually loving the weaning journey. I can't believe that I'm already starting to prepare for weaning Poppy, but she's now 5 months and really not that far away from the messy milestone that is weaning. In readiness Oxo Tot kindly sent over some of their revolutionary products that make life easier when eating on the go.

TODDLER: Joining the Family Dinner Table with Oxo Tot Perch Booster Seat

As Isabella gets older the more she wants to be part of everything we do, while gaining independence and learning new skills. A recent new level of 'growing up' has been Isabella wanting to sit with us at the dinner table, instead of being in the highchair. The tray on the highchair means that Isabella isn't sat up against the table and she is now aware of the difference between her chair and the chairs we sit on. These toddler's are far too observant!

TODDLER: The start of potty training

June marks National Potty Training Awareness Month - believe it or not there is such a thing! So I thought it would be the perfect time to share how we've started the (often dreaded) journey of potty training Isabella. She's almost 15 months, which some may think is too early to properly start and it is for Isabella. She can't clearly communicate, isn't aware of when she is going to the toilet and doesn't understand the concept of going to the toilet. Despite all this we have been starting to do little things, in the hope that it will make the journey easier when the time is right.

ORGANISATION: My Meal Planning Top Tips

Returning to work, after maternity leave, meant we had to up our organisation game considerably. I no longer had endless time to cook fresh meals for us all, made even more challenging by the fact that the three of us eat slightly different meals. I'm a vegetarian, my husband eats meat and Isabella has meals with little to no refined sugar/salt in. I was determined that my return to work wouldn't lead to not having home cooked meals every night, we've always done it so why stop now?

ISABELLAS FAVOURITES: January 2016

Isabella is now almost 10 months and is really beginning to interact with toys that she used to just ignore (or attempt to eat!) It's incredible how much she has already learnt and how quickly she is learning new skills. We can now play with her toys during the day, one of our favourite games has been rolling different balls backwards and forwards. At the start of the month Isabella would just pick up the ball and chew on it, but now she picks the ball up and 'throws' it towards me. I can't wait to see what she'll learn throughout February!

WEANING: Encouraging Independence with Oxo Tot

Oxo Tot have a fantastic range of children's tableware and accessories, all of which have helpful features to encourage independent eating. We've now been weaning Isabella for 4.5 months and she's been loving it! There's almost no food she doesn't like and it's really bought out her desire for independence.
