January SALE - First Shopping Haul of 2013!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had fun welcoming in 2013 and a nice lazy day on New Years Day! I was lucky enough to be on holiday in Devon over the New Year, so we had lots of trips to the beach and shopping in little seaside shops :)

I thought I would show you some of the BARGAINS I have bought in the sales so far this year! I went shopping in Exeter while on holiday, but didn't visit that many shops, so I am back off out this weekend to see what other bargains there are to be had!

'NEXT' is the first shop I visited, it's one of my favourite shops to 'window shop' because it's quite expensive but the sales can be great! I bought this amazing herb collection, with 16 different herbs and spices in cute vintage style jars - it was reduced from £22 to £7!

I also bought this HUGE haul of over 50 baubles, stars and general Christmas Tree decorations for £3 from NEXT. I think they must have been off a display Christmas Tree because they aren't in their original packaging but they are in great condition!

I also bought this cute patterned hanging heart, which says 'Tis the season...', it was only £1! It could be hung one way around throughout the year and then turn it around to see the wording nearer to Christmas.

I really wanted some nice girly Pyjamas that were long enough for me, I am about 5"8 and it seems to be hard to find PJ trousers that aren't around my ankles! I found these lovely girls PJ's in NEXT reduced from £24 to £10! They are a bit big for me but this helped with the length, they are just about long enough!

There was this great little tealight candle holder from NEXT, it's really heavy and good quality so I bought it to give to someone as a gift. It was £3 down to £1.50!

I then visited Primark, the Exeter Primark was quite big and had a good range of items in the sale. I bought this gorgeous lace shirt style dress in cream, I have wanted a shirt dress like this one for a while so this will be perfect with black tights and boots for the winter, or sandals in the summer! It was reduced from £15 to £7!

I also bought this really cosy cream cardigan from Primark, it's so soft and has pearl effect buttons. I thought this would be great during the winter, worn with a black shift style dress. It was reduced from £14 to £7!

Wilkinson can have some great bargains but I find that you really have to search for them sometimes. Their sale in Exeter was mostly covering 50% off Christmas Decorations, but I did find these ribbons in a gorgeous teal colour (one of my favourite colours!), they were half price too at 50p for 3 metres! There are so many uses for ribbon - presents, homemade cards, candle holders, putting around cakes etc.

Have you braved the sales and bought any great bargains this year?
