RECIPE: Chocolate Mousse with Honeycomb

This is a staple recipe when we have guests around for dinner but don't have much time. This chocolate mousse recipe is so quick, cheap and easy but one of the yummiest things you'll ever taste! I either serve this with homemade honeycomb or shortbreads, both can be dunked! The little pot I served this in was from The Range for £1.

What you'll need:

240g Milk Chocolate
375ml Double Cream

You can add flavourings to the chocolate mousse, such as stem ginger, chilli, rose water etc.

1) Break the chocolate into pieces (eat at lease one square - go on, it's on the instructions!), then microwave at 20 seconds at a time. This ensure the chocolate doesn't burn, it's very easy to burn it! Always give the chocolate a stir during this melting process so that there aren't any hot points where the chocolate burns.

2) Once the chocolate has completely melted let it stand for 10 minutes or so. This allows the chocolate to cool for the luxurious cream is added!

3) Next, carefully pour the cream into the chocolate, stirring constantly. If you've ever made chocolate truffles before you'll know that when you add cream to chocolate it starts to set hard. Once you've added all of the cream you'll be left with a smooth, creamy chocolate mousse. It really is that easy!
