FAMILY HOLIDAY: Day Out to St Ives in Cornwall

FAMILY HOLIDAY: Day Out to St Ives in Cornwall
We weren't planning on visiting St Ives because it was about 1.5 hours further south than where we were staying near Bude. However we decided we'd only regret it if we didn't pay it a visit, I wanted to take Isabella to the place my husband proposed to me. I'm so glad we did because it was so nice walking around St Ives, reminiscing and grabbing a burger and the best nachos at Hub, overlooking the harbour. It doesn't look very sunny in these pictures but it was so hot - keeping Isabella cool enough has become a daily challenge at the moment.

  1. Lovely photo's it looks beautiful! We've got a front baby carrier too they're great for when your going to places that aren't pram friendly. If your trying to keep baby cool I always try and avoid using mine if I can as I tend to find baby absorbs your body heat whilst in it. Instead I try and keep her in the pram and sometimes in just a vest with blankets ready in case it gets chilly or a cotton flat sheet if you just need something thin to keep the chill away but not overheating them. Hope that helps summers so hard I think as they get so grumpy!! #HappyDays

    1. I hadn't thought of using a cotton flat sheet - I'll be packing one of those next time we're out for the day, thanks! :)

  3. Looks like you had a great time in St Ives! I've never been but i sure am tempted after seeing these photos! I think it's so cute that you went back to wear you were proposed to, nostalgia at it's best! Those nachos look delicious too!

  4. Oh my goodness, those photos are stunning - I can see you would've regretted not going. I have never been to St Ives but would definitely love to visit there one day. I think you had me at 'nachos'. :)

My daughter (15 months) has pretty much been living in just a nappy over the last week or so. She gets far too hot and sweaty otherwise.

    Thanks for joining our #HappyDaysLinky

  5. Oh I love St Ives :) The beaches are gorgeous and it feels like a whole other world. One of my favourite days of last summer was when we walked along the cliffs on the boyfriend's birthday. It was in the height of Silly Season and we were just far out enough to avoid the busy streets and bad-ass seasgulls :)
