Since being on maternity leave I like to plan my weeks out, so I know what we're doing, where we're going and who we're seeing. It helps me know that I have enough things to keep myself busy with a good balance between time out and about and bonding time in with Isabella.
I used to plan activities with other mummies twice a week, but as Isabella gets older I tend to go out more now. The other day we went for a lovely walk around our local area - it was one of those rare sunny summer days that you just have to get out and enjoy! Isabella just about fits in the carry cot part of her pram - I propped up the mattress with some blankets so she could see out a bit more and off we went. I really enjoyed showing Isabella the pretty flowers, butterflies and other wildlife, she loves all the bright colours. We had such a lovely time and best of all it didn't cost a penny!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite free day out is the garden centre (although I haven't been for ages) - Jasmine loves seeing all of the animals. And I can get a nice slice of cake. :)
