As I've mentioned on here before, since giving birth my skin has been challenging shall we say?! It's really dry in patches, yet still oily in other places and generally hard work.
So when I had the opportunity to try out some of NSPA's new products I jumped at the chance. The NSPA Grapefruit and Raspberry skincare range is designed for dry skin and consists of face wipes, face scrub, face wash and moisture cream. All of the products you need for a complete skincare routine and even those lazy 'I can't be bothered to take my make up off days'.
Face wipes have a bad reputation, especially in the blogging world, yet they are an essential skincare product for a lot of people still. I've been using the NSPA Grapefruit and Raspberry Face Wipes* as a pre-cleanse,
so I've been taking off the majority of my make up with these prior to
using the face scrub/face wash. I've been impressed with the removal
power of these wipes, they have removed the majority of my waterproof
mascara and all of the rest of my make up. For a wipe that's pretty good
going in my experience!
I'm
awful at remembering to exfoliate regularly and every time I have a
facial it is advice the beautician gives me. It's best to exfoliate
every couple of days with a gentle scrub designed for the sensitive skin
on your face. The NSPA
Grapefruit and Raspberry Face Scrub* isn't the most gentle scrub I've
used, so it has worked perfectly for that every couple of days
exfoliation. I have really noticed a difference in my extremely dry
areas, that are often a bit flakey. Recently my skin has been a lot smoother and I definitely think that's due to exfoliating more often.
After exfoliating I've been using the NSPA
Grapefruit and Raspberry Face Wash*, which has a nice creamy
consistency. It feels luxurious on the skin and helps to remove my make
up and cleanse my skin. Surprisingly I didn't find this particularly moistuising despite it being aimed at dry skin, however it was a nice face wash for leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean.
As my skin was in need of a surge of moisture I have been using the NSPA
Grapefruit and Raspberry Moisture Cream*. This is a light moisturising
cream that is absorbed into the skin quickly, adding that hit of
hydration that is needed after a skincare routine. It does have a strong
fragrance though, so if you're not a fan of frangranced moisturiser this may not be the one for you. Personally I like the
fragrance, so it doesn't bother me, just worth baring in mind.
Do you have any great products for dry skin?
Feel free to leave me a comment :)
