The English Shipmate was started by Victoria Harwood, a lovely and very talented silversmith and sailor. They create beautiful, personalised keyrings and cufflinks, which would make the perfect gift for that someone special. I absolutely love the hammered metal finish on most of The English Shipmate creations, especially as my husband's wedding ring has the same finish.
You can choose between a range of different shaped keyrings, including a heart, teardrop and circle. In fact you can personalise almost every aspect of the keyrings and cufflinks. The metal, font of writing, symbols, signs and inscriptions can all be personalised, enabling you to create a completely original gift for someone special.

The Personalised 'This Daddy Belongs To...' Keyring* (from £34) is such a unique gift for a Daddy, Grandad, Uncle etc. Personalised gifts are so special because they show that there's been that extra bit of thought put into the present, yet it doesn't actually take much more time. In under 5 minutes (if you're decisive, unlike me!) you can order one of The English Shipmate's keyrings completely personalised and the best thing is that they come beautifully presented in a gift box. No need to spend precious time wrapping it up - anything that saves time is a bonus!
When deciding how you want to personalised the 'This Daddy Belongs To...' keyring you can choose between copper or Sterling silver, the name that goes between 'This.......Belongs To', up to three children's names and two symbols or signs from the following range - how cute are those little footprints on number 7?!
It's fantastic that you can see what the signs/symbols/letters will look like when they are hand stamped into your keyring, too many times websites just ask you to choose without showing you what it will look like. It's these kind of details that make The English Shipmate stand out as an outstanding company and their customer service is like no other too!
The keyrings are lovingly made in their studio near Bath. Each keyring takes up to three hours to design and make - beginning with a raw piece of copper or sterling silver and ending up with a shiny fob bearing all of your desired personalisation's. It's completely bespoke and original. The fob is hand-stamped, hammered lightly and domed on a wooden block - the only machinery used is to smooth the edges and polish it to a high shine.

These look so beautiful and it is so lovely to be able to give a unique and personalized gift. It certainly beats a pair of socks or tie. I like the idea of being able to choose the typeface too. #brilliantbkogposts
ReplyDeletehello - it's Victoria, the silversmith from The English Shipmate here. I'm so delighted to be featured here and by your lovely comments. I'm just gearing up for a very busy Christmas period, and trying to juggle my 8-year-old and our new puppy during half term! This design was a smash when I brought it out before Father's Day and I know that the little baby feet stamp (and trains and bikes for Daddies who love them) was really popular. Hope your all having lovely snuggles with your small people, I'm glad to say my little boy hasn't stopped being snugly and the pup is like having a toddler again!
ReplyDeleteAhh these look great and what a lovely gift idea. Thank you ever so much for linking up to Share With Me. I hope to see you again tomorrow for another great round up and hope you have been enjoying the blog hop. #sharewithme
