CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: For Foodies

If I'm honest this Christmas Gift Guide is my absolute favourite, receiving food related gifts probably excites me the most and I tend to be drawn to them to give others too. There are lots of interesting, unique food gifts that would appeal to people of all ages included in this gift guide, so let's get on with it...

Ross & Ross The Homemade Curing Kit...Bacon Original or Spicy (£20 each) - A bacon sandwich is often seen as the ultimate breakfast, so a chance to cure your own bacon at home adds a whole new twist. Ross & Ross have two curing kits that include everything you'll need to cure your own bacon, other than the meat itself. The Original Kit has Sweet, Original and Smokey curing mixtures, while the Spicy Kit has Old English, Cotswold Chorizo and British BBQ. You can watch a video here showing you how to cure your own bacon, it's surprisingly simple!

Cadbury Dairy Milk 850g Bar (£10) - Chocolate makes everything better, right? Receiving a GIANT bar of chocolate on Christmas Day should keep the lucky recipient going for a while, though it is Christmas so who knows?! My little brother is such a chocoholic, so this will be heading to him this Christmas.

The Smokey Carter Christmas Chutney Tube (£14) -The Smokey Carter has an award winning, full flavoured range of dry rubs, sauces and spices. Their Tube Gift Range include a Cheese Lover's Tube, Chilli Addict Tube and a Chipotle Fanatic Tube, each filled with an array of delicious chutneys and savoury jams. Also, exclusively for Christmas you can choose your own trio out of the following: Chipotle & Bourbon BBQ, Scotch Bonnet Chilli Jam, Pineapple & Nigella Seed Chutney, Smokey Chipotle Chilli Jam, Tangy Plum Chutney or Sweet Original Chilli Jam. Your choices are then presented neatly in a handy cardboard tube, which makes wrapping them up a lot easier!

Taylors of Harrogate Coffee Capsules (£2.99 for box of 10 capsules) -This is just a sample box, but Taylors of Harrogate have just bought out a brand new range of coffee capsules. They are compatible with Nespresso Machines, so if you know someone with one of these machines then a chance to try a new range of espresso capsules is exciting!

The Snaffling Pig Co. Sage & Onion Pork Crackling Gifting Jar (£15.99) - The Snaffling Pig Co. are offering something completely unique...an array of interestingly flavoured pork crackling in these cute reusable jars. The flavours include: BBQ, Black Pepper, Salt & Vinegar, Habanero, Sweet Chilli, Maple, Funkin' Fennel, Perfectly Salted, Pigs in Blankets and Sage & Onion. If you're struggling to decide on a flavour then you can also get refill bags of each flavour, allowing you to explore their flavour range further. It's incredibly moreish, you have been warned!

Beanies Stashbox (£22.50) - This one is for coffee lovers, with nine flavoured coffees jars presented in a gift box. The size of the jars are impressive for a variety pack of coffees, there are a lot of cups of coffee within this Stashbox! The nine flavours are: Amaretto Almond, Cinder Toffee, Nutty Hazelnut, Mint Chocolate, Gingerbread, Very Vanilla, Double Chocolate, Chocolate Orange and Irish Cream.

Hawkshead Relish Couture Christmas Chutney (£6.50) - Spiced apricots paired with tangy cranberries make the basis for this delicious Christmas chutney. It's the perfect accompaniment to a cheese board, turkey sandwich or that 'leftovers' supper so many of us have on Boxing day. The couture glass jar is a stylish change to the usual style jam jar. Hawkshead Relish also have a Christmas marmalade and cranberry sauce available in the couture jar - I know that my grandparents would absolutely love the three jars together for Christmas, they get through chutney like no one else I know!

Choc Shot in Original, Coconut and Spiced Orange Flavours (£3.50 each from Tesco) -It's not surprising that these have crept their way into my Gift Guide for Foodies, as they are one of my favourite food finds of 2015. If you're not familiar with Choc Shot then it's a liquid chocolate that can be used in such a variety of ways - on pancakes, hot chocolate, porridge etc. There are three flavours available: Original, Spiced Orange and Coconut.

Quai Sud Duo Best Of Boxed Set (€21.90) -I absolutely love the cake, rice pudding, milkshake, ice-cream and cocktail mixes available from the French brand, Quai Sud. The cute packaging, incredible flavour range and luxurious ingredients make their products ideal gifts this Christmas. The Duo Best of Boxed Set includes a Chocolate and Hazelnut Cookie Mix and a Moelleux mix with Valrhona™ Chocolate and Caramel with salted butter from Isigny. If you're not familiar with what a Moelleux is, it's a melt in the middle chocolate cake - such a treat! Each mix is presented layered in a glass bottle and all you have to do is add the wet ingredients and bake. Simple, tasty and convenient!

Lily Flame Coffee Galore! Candle (£8.95) - A slightly different twist on a foodies gift, but this candle smells far too good to not include in this gift guide! I wouldn't have expected the scent of coffee to make such a delicious yet subtle smelling candle. Burning this candle fills the house with the smell of freshly brewed coffee...perfect for both those who do and don't like drinking coffee.

What kind of gift is your favourite to receive?
