GIFT INSPIRATION: Lucy Sheeran Bespoke Illustrations

We're well and truly approaching the gift giving month of December and the ever challenging task of finding personal, thoughtful gifts your loved ones will treasure. A completely bespoke illustration of something, somewhere or someone special is sure to be cherished by whoever the lucky recipient is. Lucy Sheeran is an incredibly talented illustrator who can bring to life a photo that's special.

It is a surprisingly easy and quick process. Lucy and her team do all of the hardwork to create a completely original illustration. When you place your order you send over the photograph you'd like drawn, any writing you want (i.e. place/date/event), the font of the writing and frame colour if you would like one.  You can also request Lucy Sheeran to sign the illustration, which I think is such a lovely touch as you can see in my photos.

If you're thinking that this would make the perfect gift for someone, but you don't have a photograph of their special place then they are able to use images from online too. Or you can send the address of the special place and they will find it, it's that extra effort that makes ordering from Lucy Sheeran such a pleasure.
There are a variety of styles you can choose from for your illustration, including: minimal, architectural and colourwash. I went for a Personalised Holiday Illustration* (from £38) with a minimal style. I sent over this photo of The Thatch and putting from our recent holiday to Lowestoft (if you want to know why it's such a special place to me then you can find out here).

After up to 14 days you will receive a proof of your illustration for you to approve, in other words fall in love with. Once approved it will be posted the next day. I think this is a really impressive time frame for something that is bespoke and original.
The finished illustration is so intricate, with the tiniest detail not overlooked. I'm stunned at how beautifully Lucy and her team have captured such a special place to me through this illustration. It's one I will treasure forever.
Where would your special place you'd have illustrated be?
