Heavenly Organic Superfoods was created by Shauna, a Mummy who wanted to create baby food that was suitable for her children's allergies, as well as being organic and nutritious. The Heavenly Organic Superfoods baby products are based around superfoods, such as coconut, amaranth, kale, millet and spinach. These increase the nutritional value of the baby foods, as well as helping to create tasty food for your baby.
There are four main products available from Heavenly Organic Superfoods: Coconut Squishies (Stage 1), Yummy Wafer Wisps (Stage 2), Happy Halo Bites (Stage 3) and Frozen Meals (Stage 4 - coming soon). Within each of these product ranges there are various flavours and combinations of ingredients - all of which sounds really delicious, with a slight tropical feel!
As we are only really at the beginning of our weaning journey we were kindly sent a selection of Coconut Squishies*, which are available in Mango, Apple, Banana and Coconut Milk/ Pineapple, Apple, Banana and Coconut Milk/ Strawberry, Apple, Banana and Coconut Milk. The Coconut Squishies come in easy to use pouches, which are ideal for taking out and about. It's unique to find coconut milk at the heart of a baby pouch, so it's nice to have that option available too. Not to mention the added nutritional benefits of coconut - it's rich in fibre, vitamin C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6, as well as minerals iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. The Coconut Squishies are lactose free and lower in sugar than cow's milk, so they are perfect if your child has an allergy to lactose.
Isabella absolutely loves these squishies and can feed herself them. I've even given them a try and they taste like the most amazing smoothie, so delicious! Isabella has also enjoyed having some of the strawberry, apple and banana squishie mixed into Greek yogurt for pudding at dinner time.
You can order Heavenly Organic Superfoods Yummy Wafer Wisps and Coconut Squishies online from ocado. They're also widely available in Ireland - see where you can pick them up in more detail here.
