CHILDREN: Dotcomgiftshop Changes Name & My Top Picks Under £15 from their New Website

CHILDREN: Dotcomgiftshop Changes Name & My Top Picks Under £15 from their New Website
If you're familiar with the website dotcomgiftshop then you'll probably know it for outstanding value for money, a fun range of unique products and having something for every member of your family. It is the place to buy gifts, home accessories, tableware and seasonal decorations, or should I say was. Dotcomgiftshop no longer exists, instead they've had an exciting name change and are now called Rex London.

All of the same fantastic products, just with a different name. Dotcomgiftshop has been around since 2005, however the business behind dotcomgiftshop 'Rex London Ltd' have been trading successfully for over 35 years. Rex London Ltd supply the gifts and homeware accessories to over 20,000 retailers in more than 70 countries, so it made sense to join them both together to create Rex London. It's inspiring to think this all started from a market stall in London!

There are currently lots of exciting new products and ranges available on the Rex London website, alongside all of the classics from formerly known dotcomgiftshop, such as their Jumbo Storage Bags and Children's Night Lights. Their gift range is seriously impressive, so I've put together some of my top picks from the children's gift section that would be perfect for a three or four year old. Rex London is such an affordable place to buy gifts for children and the array of classic, wooden, fun and practical presents make it the place to shop for all children. There are also plenty of smaller gift items for friend's birthday parties, stocking fillers or treats in reward for reaching milestones (such as potty training or moving into their own bed etc.).

Bonnie The Bunny Flask (£14.95) - Children aren't going to be taking a hot cup of tea on days out, but taking a flask of warm milk is the perfect way to warm up on those cooler days. Isabella loved having her favourite drink with us on a recent picnic at Burghley Hall and the cute bunny design is so adorable. You can also pop a cold drink in the flask along with a couple of ice cubes on warmer days and it will stay cool all day. An essential for helping to keep children cool over the summer and a gift that can be used throughout the year. We also have the matching Panda, Cat and Bunny Snack Boxes (£5.95), which come in a set of three and are ideal for picnics as you can fit in sandwiches, snacks and pudding in them. Children love having their own little snack box to eat out and these are the perfect sizes.
Happy Cloud Children's Umbrella (£8.95) - We can dream that we have beautiful weather everyday, but reality means that there are a fair few rainy days thrown in too. This year seems to have been filled with endless rainy days and after being stuck indoors for a few days in a row we are just eager to get back outside. Rex London's range of children's umbrellas are the perfect size for toddlers and children, so that they can hold it themselves and stay dry at the same time. Isabella asks most days if she can take out her new 'handbrella', as she calls it. They are easy for little fingers to open too, as it's just the press of a button.
In The Jungle Felt Tip Stamp Pens (£5.95) come in a set of 18 and are a fun multiuse creative gift for children. On one end of these felt tips is a regular pen nib, yet on the other end there is a picture inked stamp in a variety of designs. These opened up a whole new world for Isabella, as she hadn't used pre-inked stamps before and to say it became her favourite creative activity would be an understatement. She's now at the age where she loves to 'write' her name, draw different shapes, faces and create little imaginary scenes on paper. She's been drawing and stamping her way through all of the recent rainy days and we've really seen an improvement in her ability to control the pens since using these regularly. Practice makes perfect.
Moon Night Light (£5.95) is one of the many night lights available from Rex London and it's simply adorable. The cute little face really brings it alive to Isabella and she takes great pride in turning this on/off at bedtime. It is easy to do via the switch on the bottom of the moon, so it helps Isabella gain the independence she so desperately wants. The night light gives off a subtle amount of light, which is perfect for using when reading the bedtime story or having quiet time before bed.

Elvis the Elephant Wooden Stacking Game (£7.95) - If you're looking for fun ways to support your child's fine motor skills then this is the game for them. It comes with a wooden elephant and an array of coloured sticks that you have to try and balance on the elephants back. Isabella does find this game quite tricky and has got frustrated, which has made it the perfect chance to talk about not giving up, concentrating and what to do when we feel frustrated. After a lot of practicing she is now able to balance a few sticks on the elephants back, which she's very proud of.
Traditional Tea Party Biscuits Game (£9.95) is a gift I certainly would have loved as a child, as role play and pretend picnics was how I spent my childhood. This box of wooden biscuits is such a cute addition to any child's play food collection and the numbers on the back of each biscuit (1-10) make them educational too. There are so many games you could play with these, as well as serving them with a 'cup of tea' or at a teddy bears picnic. Isabella has loved building a tower with them then counting how many she has, we've been practicing identifying the numbers and turning them all over then guessing the number on the other side.
