SUMMER: Feeling Nostalgic with Baby Born Outdoor Adventures

SUMMER: Feeling Nostalgic with Baby Born Outdoor Adventures
If you think back to your childhood are there a few toys or products that really stand out as being special? For me a Baby Born doll does because I spent years and years playing with mine as a child. So when Isabella was kindly offered the opportunity to have her own Baby Born it felt like a trip down memory lane with all the nostalgic feelings that come with that. There's something so special about being able to provide your own children with experiences that you loved all those years ago, isn't there? However, Baby Born has evolved over the years and now has a whole host of accessories and clothing ranges that can add to the imaginary play.

As we're well and truly into summer now it only seems right to have Baby Born in her Summerdress Set with Pins ready for all the outdoor adventures with Isabella. The cute summery dress has plenty of frills, is lightweight and comes with a pink headband that has 12 different pins so that your child can choose the pattern they'd like. Isabella has taken great pride in choosing the baby's outfit each day (who am I kidding...this baby has more outfit changes than you could imagine!) and it has often started a discussion about the weather and how we get ourselves dressed.
A Baby Born is the perfect companion on all of your summer adventures and it allows children to bring their imaginary play outside. Isabella's baby has been on many adventures already this year and is a guaranteed request every time we leave the house now. What better way to keep children entertained while out at summer picnics, trips to the park, beach or pretty gardens this summer?
I can't remember exactly what my old Baby Born could do, though I'm sure it's the kind of thing that would still be at my parents house. I must remember to have a look next time I visit! Baby Born dolls these days are interactive and have eight features that make them more than just a doll...
  • Cry - I definitely remember this one and am pleased to report that they still cry real tears. The first time Isabella's Baby Born cried she was so intrigued and then of course it spent most of the day crying as she repeatedly loaded it up to cry.
  • Sleep - When you lay the baby on its side her eyes close and she goes to sleep.
  • Drink - Using the bottle provided you can feed her water, but be warned she will wet herself afterwards unless she has a nappy on!
  • Wet Nappy - Once baby has had a drink of water she will 'wee' into her nappy.
  • Eat - I also remember this one fondly from my childhood; mixing those sachets of powder up to make a sort of porridge and then feeding it to the baby.
  • Potty - After eating the porridge baby will need to use the potty. Simply press her belly button and she'll wee and poo. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is the most amusing feature for Isabella.
  • Bath Friendly - She can go in the bath with your child or have her own bath, which is something a lot of other dolls can't do.
  1. Moveable - Her arms, legs and head can be moved, so that she can sit up or lay down.
The Baby Born Interactive Girl Doll (£32.99) also comes with a dummy, dummy clip, matching bracelet for baby and child, 1x nappy, 1x sachet of food, bowl, spoon, hat, birth certificate, potty and bottle. Everything needed for your child to take their baby on all their summer outdoor adventures.
Did you have a Baby Born as a child?

Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)

  13. My boys really love their baby dolls too. They don't have Baby Born (one is from Zapf and the other from Götz, both popular German brands) but they love looking after their babies and being good baby doll daddies.
