After speaking to a friend about Christmas shopping and how hard it is to find time to do it, he suggested I visited the Festive Gift Fair at the NEC, Birmingham. I had heard of it before but never visited, which is kind of surprising as I love a good event at the NEC! It is £9.50 for adults, so it's considerably cheaper than other events there. It took place over the 21st-24th November 2013, just before the really busy Christmas shopping happens! As we arrived it buzzing with a Christmas atmosphere - carols being sung, a Father Christmas, the smell of festive spices - Christmas heaven!
As we began to walk around the stalls it became evident that there were a lot of stall selling Christmas decorations, not really what we went for, however we did end up buying some more to add to our collection! There was a good range of gifts with some really good show offers. There was one stall that was so cheap - 2 flower photo frames for £1, 2 large heart candles for £1 etc!
There were also a range of food stalls, some of which were also at the Good Food Show the following weekend. I bought my Dad a mini chocolate pizza from the Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company, which are a fun company offering a variety of flavoured chocolate pizzas! Tom gave me one a couple of Christmases ago and the chocolate is amazing!!
(Sorry the photo's a bit rubbish, I only had my phone with me!)
Have you been to the Festive Gift Fair?
Feel free to leave me a comment :)
