GIFT INSPIRATION: Ted Baker Me and My Shadow Gift Set

Personally I think buying gifts for women is SO much easier than buying for men - do you? I don't know whether it's because I'm a women, so I know the kind of things women like, or because there are so many lovely items out there for us! This Ted Baker Me and My Shadow Gift Set* (£18) really caught my eye in Boots, on one of my many shopping trips there! Every time I go I forget to buy something, in fact I went to Boots last night - bought some shampoo Tom wanted in his stocking but forgot to buy my Dad the Champney's Bath Soak I wanted to get him for his stocking! I'm sure there will be many other trips like this - *note to self - WRITE A LIST*.

In this lovely gift set you get:

2x Shimmering Eye Creams
2x Eye Glitters
Liquid Eyeliner Pen
Metal Eyelash Curlers
False Eyelashes and Glue

Everything anyone would need to create a party, festive look - all presented in a pretty pink box!

As part of this Ted Baker gift set you get this gorgeous storage box, I'd use this to keep cotton wool in or perhaps my ever growing collection of mascaras! It's really sturdy and has the prettiest flower pattern on the inside.

A brilliant offer Boots offer almost every year is 3 for 2 over their gifts. I always make the most of this offer, generally getting bath and body gift sets as they're such good value for money.

I haven't worn false eyelashes since university, mostly because I haven't had many 'dressy up' events to go to! However this year I really fancied trying another pair of false eyelashes, the Ted Baker ones in this gift set are quite subtle - so are perfect for anyone who hasn't worn eyelashes before or likes the more subtle look. Using the Ted Baker eyelash curlers before putting these false eyelashes on will help to make them look part of your own eyelashes.

The Ted Baker liquid eyeliner flowed consistently - I sometimes find with liquid eyeliners that you've done one eye perfectly, you get to do the second one and the pen stops working part way through - ruining that eye! Or I sneeze and ruin it! This Ted Baker eyeliner was really easy to use, it gave a solid black line and was easy to control.

The eye creams are perfect for the festive period, I was really impressed with the solid colour  - a deep golden and metallic rose. I was also impressed with the longevity of these creams. I put them on at the beginning of the day and they were still going strong by the end of the day! They didn't crease either - YAY! I'm pretty new to eye creams but I love how easy they are to blend together and how long they last, I'm quickly becoming a convert.

When I opened the eye glitters I was expecting the glitter to be in a 'gel' but it's loose glitter. Ideal for creating a party look but can get quite messy! I matched the corresponding colours with the eye creams but you could mix and match - it's completely up to you. Despite these glitters designed for eye's, I've also used them to add a bit of sparkle to my nails. If you apply a clear nail varnish over the top, you get a glittery finish very easily.

Have you asked for any make up gift sets this year or are giving any?

Feel free to comment - I love reading every single one :)
