I have used a blusher for as long as I've worn make up, but recently I actually stopped and thought about the type of blusher I use and wondered why I had 'settled' on that type. Currently I use a lip and cheek tint, I apply it over my foundation and concealer but under my powder. I then sometimes apply another blusher over my powder, I like to have subtle rosy cheeks.
At my last job there used to be an Avon catalogue in the staff room, so I'd constantly be browsing through trying to find new products to try out. I thought I'd try this 'Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Soft Plum' (£6.50, currently reduced to £4.50), it's a deeper colour than I would usually pick so it was interesting to see what it looked like on. I really didn't get on with the brush, the hairs came out and it was really hard to not just get big blobs of blush. The brush needed to be amount 4 times bigger and better quality, but then again I didn't buy this blusher for the brush. I used my own blusher brush to apply this product and the results were much better. Shows how important the brush applicator is. I really liked the texture of the blusher, a fine powder with a deep red/pink colour. Baring in mind you get a compact mirror, blusher brush and good size blusher, at £6.50 it's very reasonably priced!
Have you tried any of the Avon blushers?
Feel free to leave me a comment :)
I've tried a lot of Avon products, but not their blushers for some reason but it's a very reasonable price and you get a lot for your money :o) Xx
