SKINCARE: The Body Shop Vitamin C Range

I'm forever falling in love with The Body Shop skincare products, I think they are really underrated. There ranges cater for all skin types and there's always some kind of discount code available, making it a very affordable place to shop.
Recently I've been trying out a couple of products from The Body Shop's Vitamin C range - a collection of products that claim to add a beautiful glow to the skin, as well as hydrate and energise.
I've now been using the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser* (£16) and the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer* (£14) for the last month or so. I wasn't sure what to expect because both products are quite different to anything I've tried before. The moisturiser has more of a gel like texture to it, it's certainly not a thick, rich, creamy moisturiser and the glow enhancer is bright orange!

Let's focus on the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser first - the texture of it is light, gel like and it smells very citrusy. The perfect combination for waking up tired skin in the morning! Because of the gel like texture it's also very cooling to the skin, helping to add that glow. For me, this product didn't add a glow as such, there's no shimmer particles in it to add that highlighter type glow. It did however add a sort of glow from within, my skin does look more alive and glowy, without being shiny or like a glitter ball.

I would say that I don't think this product would suit dry skin too well, sometimes I have dry skin and on those days my skin would just drink this moisturiser up but would still feel like it needed more hydration. To be fair this isn't a product aimed at dry skin, but if you are on the drier side then I'd recommend getting a moisturiser that is more creamy and hydrating. However, if you're looking for a light moisturiser that will easily soak into the skin and add a bit of a glow then this is the product for you.
Now on to one of the strangest, yet best, beauty products I've tried in a while - the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer. This bright orange liquid is not like your typical silicone, fill all your pores primer but it's also not a shimmery base. It's a confusing one for me, but all I do know is I love what it does to the skin. I have been applying this all over the face, concentrating on my t zone, after moisturising and before foundation. The orange colour really helps to add that glow and somehow even out my skin tone a bit. It doesn't have that 'soft' texture primers often do, yet it works perfectly as a base for foundation. The texture is a lot thicker than the Vitamin C moisturiser and you only need a small amount to cover the whole face. This is my new favourite base to apply before foundation, as it does give a kind of glow from within and helps my foundation apply more evenly.
You can currently get 30% off these products if you enter the code 14586 at the checkout.
