NEW: Clarins Treatments at Eden Hall Spa

Eden Hall Day Spa is filled with relaxing facilities, delicious food and incredible treatments, that all work together to create the perfect luxurious experience. My husband and I hadn't spent any time just the two of us since Isabella was born, so when I was given the opportunity to spend a day at Eden Hall I jumped at the chance. My husband and I were booked in for Friday in October - it was the first time we had both left Isabella...ever!
Excitedly I was booked in for one of the brand new spa experiences, the Clarins Signature Spa Day* (from £175), which includes an indulgent full body scrub, facial cleanse, exfoliation and massage treatment as well as full use of the extensive spa facilities, a three course lunch and a beautiful gift to take home (all of the products in the above picture - three full size Clarins products worth over £100!). It really is the perfect day for a full body relaxation experience - imagine giving or receiving this as a Christmas present?!

As soon as you walk through the doors at Eden Hall you are surrounded by peace and tranquillity. The reception staff are always so friendly, in fact all of the staff are so welcoming and can't do enough to ensure your day at the spa is the best it can possibly be. I have visited Eden Hall a number of times over the past four years, so I feel like I can truly vouch for the consistent quality of the experience.

Once we had checked in at reception, been given our locker number and lunch/treatment time we went off to get changed. For me one of the best aspects of a spa day is being able to spend the day in a dressing gown, even while having your lunch!
As we didn't have long until our lunch we decided to discover the new slumber lounge, which is filled with day beds, hanging dome chairs, blankets, low lighting and a warm fire. The ideal place to switch off from everyday worries and stresses.

Lunch consists of a three course meal and an extensive salad bar that you can help yourself too. It was also nice to be able to fully enjoy the salad bar this time as last time we were at Eden Hall I was pregnant with Isabella. I started with a cauliflower and cheddar veloute, then had a delicious warm salad of Oyster mushrooms and finally finished with a strawberry tart and clotted cream. Fair to say I was nursing a food baby this time, rather than a real baby!

Eden Hall Spa has recently (from the 1st October 2015) started stocking Clarins products in their shop and offering a wide range of luxurious Clarins treatments from facials to massages. This is such a lovely addition to the already established brands at Eden Spa, including Elemis and Spa Find. Clarins is such a highly respected brand, with many considering their products as necessities in their skincare/beauty routine.
As part of the Signature Spa Day I was treated to a full body scrub, massage and facial, it was 85 minutes of complete bliss. Initially I wasn't sure about the full body scrub, I usually stick to a facial as it's what I know but I was so pleasantly surprised. Only small parts of your body are exposed at any one time, as the therapist scrubs an area and then covers it up before moving onto another area. They were also more than happy to tailor the treatment to my requirements, so I chose not to have my tummy/chest area scrubbed or massaged because I'm breastfeeding still. You also fill in a short questionnaire prior to beginning the treatment, so that they can choose the most suitable products for your skin type. I have had such dry skin since giving birth, therefore the products used were aimed at adding hydration.
Once the body scrub was complete I didn't have to shower, like I know you do with some body scrubs, as it had been towelled off. This helped to make it an even more peaceful experience. The massage felt like it was doing some good to my levels of tenseness. Having a baby puts a lot of strain on your body, just as feeding/caring for them does, so taking this time out to look after myself was a rare treat. The facial used the very popular Clarins skincare products, so offered that extra level of hydration my skin so desperately needs. I truly felt fully calm, renewed and rejuvenated.

We then enjoyed wandering around the spa's facilities, spending most of our time in the rose scented steam room and sauna. Again, it was nice to be able to use the facilities because I couldn't last time due to being pregnant. My husband enjoyed a swim while I was having my treatment and a read of the newspaper in the conservatory.

If you're looking for a luxurious spa day then I can't recommend the Signature Spa Day at Eden Hall enough. It covers all aspects of relaxation and would make the most incredible Christmas gift this year.

What's your favourite spa treatment?
