TODDLER: Micro Mini 2 Go Deluxe Plus

Isabella's latest obsession has been scooting around here, there and everywhere. She absolutely loves the independence it gives her and has been so determined to master the skill by herself. I've heard a lot of 'No mummy, do by myself' and 'No holding Mummy', but when Daddy is there she is begging him to push her around. Toddler's can be so fickle sometimes! Last week I wrote about how Isabella had been enjoying the Mini Micro 3 in 1 Scooter, which you can read all about here. Isabella's also been lucky enough to try out the Micro Mini 2 Go Deluxe Plus in Pink* (£124.95) too. The Mini 2 Go Deluxe Plus is recommended from 18 months+, which is six months later than the 3 in 1 and therefore ideal if you are looking to buy when you're child is that little bit older.
It can transform through four different stages, starting as a ride-on scooter and finishing as a scooter with a T-bar. It takes your child from learning how to scoot, all the way to mastering it!

Stage One and Two - A ride-on scooter that can be pushed by an adult using the steering pole or enjoyed without. There is a removable drawer under the seat is a big hit with Isabella because what toddler doesn't like taking toys out with them? If you find yourself often left carrying your child's toy tractor, doll, car or teddy bear then this is the scooter for you! The spacious drawer can be used to store toys, nappies, wipes, jacket, spare clothes etc. and it even has a little light in making the drawer light up, which is a fun addition. The scooter is really easy to push using the steering pole and the little foot rests mean that Isabella's feet weren't dragging along the floor. The only thing I would say is that the foot rests are quite small for Isabella's feet (she's a size 6.5 at the moment), manageable but I'm not sure she'd find it that easy to keep her feet on there by the time she's nearly five. The steering pole can be removed, making this stage slightly more independent, if that's preferred. I like that the steering pole makes the Micro Mini 2 Go Deluxe Plus a much smaller alternative to a pushchair when out with your toddler.
Stage Three - You can remove the drawer and steering pole, allowing your child to start gaining more control over steering the scooter themselves. The T-bar is adjustable, so can be changed to exactly the right height for your child.
Stage Four - The adjustable T-bar creates a scooter for toddler's and children to enjoy. I really like that it has two wheels at the front and one at the back, making it a lot more steady for children to use. To turn the scooter you do have to master the skill of leaning to each side, rather than turning the handles. This is a concept that Isabella has found difficult to get the hang of because she gets scared she's going to fall off when leaning. But, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect and she is definitely improving every time she goes scooting.
Although the first and second stages are aimed at 18 months+ Isabella has enjoyed all four stages equally and the fact that it is easy to change between the different stages only makes life easier.

Below are some of Isabella's scooting adventures with the Micro Mini 2 Go Deluxe Plus...

What is your favourite feature of the Mini 2 Go?

Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)

  1. I have never seen a scooter like this, I love how it grows with the child. The little drawer to put things in would be a big hit with my little girl, as would being pushed around by daddy!

  4. Oh that's such a great scooter. Brilliant how it changes and grows with your developing child. Aren't scooter manufacturers clever. I'd have loved one of these for my son when he was a bit younger!
