CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: For Toddlers 2018

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: For Toddlers 2018
*Advertorial Content
When babies transform into toddlers it is a magical time in the world of parenting, as they learn at a rate that is pretty incredible. Walking, talking and becoming more independent changes their world and yours, making present buying that bit more exciting! When it comes to buying for toddlers there are so many routes to go down; you can go for toys, practical, clothing or creative to name a few. This Gift Guide is aimed at both first children, but also for the parents that have more than one child and are struggling to think of what to get their second/third/fourth toddler. When you have a house filled with toys from your first child it can be hard to think of what to get subsequent children, but hopefully you'll be inspired by this Gift Guide.

Gracie Fleece (£24.95) from Lighthouse Clothing - Keep your little one snuggly warm this autumn/winter with this fluffy fleece from Lighthouse Clothing. It is incredibly soft, cosy and available from 1-2 years to 9-10 years in three colours: Cornflower (seen here), Sea Spray and Sweet Pea. Personally, I'd recommend sizing up due to its fluffy nature, especially if your little one would be wearing multiple layers underneath. It's the perfect thickness for throwing on during autumn instead of a jacket or layering up in the winter months. A toddler wardrobe must-have when exploring the outdoors, running around and going on adventures.
Trendz Double Lunch Bag (£12.99) from Nuby - Picnics don't have to be just for summer, packing up your child's favourite treats and discovering somewhere new is the perfect way to keep costs down during autumn/winter. The double section design of this lunch bag is really handy for separating picnic items or siblings lunches. If you have two children then there is no need to take two lunch bags everywhere with you, just pop them both in this lunch bag. It's convenient, easy to clean, insulated to keep food/drink cool for up to 5 hours and available in a range of fun designs (Treats - seen here, Shark, Robots or Unicorn).

Personalised Children's Raincoat (£45) from Solesmith - Solesmith take the classic fisherman style raincoat to a whole new level with the chance to personalise it and add either flowers or an anchor. It is available in either yellow or navy and can be ordered in sizes between 6-12 months to 3-4 years. If your toddler is anything like mine then you won't be able to walk past a puddle without having a splash in it, so having a raincoat on is an essential. Being able to personalise this practical yet stylish raincoat adds that extra special touch when giving it as a gift. Solesmith also do an array of personalised leggings, socks, baby vests, sleepsuits and blankets that would make thoughtful gifts this Christmas. The lovely people at Solesmith have kindly given me an exclusive discount code to share with you all for 15% off when you enter: HELEN15 at checkout.
Kids Drink Bottle - Mermaid (£12.99) from Fringoo - Fringoo have cleverly designed this water bottle with features that make it easier for little ones to use independently. The lid can be opened by the touch of a button, it is contoured for easy holding, has an integrated carry loop and the straw detaches for easy cleaning. If you also have a toddler who loves to embrace their independence then the carry loop feature of this drinks bottle will make your life a lot easier. Not only will they enjoy carrying their water bottle around, but it is also one less thing for us parents to carry. Fringoo's Drink Bottles are also available in a unicorn and dinosaur design.
Proud Member of... Personalised Sibling Clothing Set (£30) from So Close Studio - Twinning is winning, right? These Proud Member of... t-shirt set can be personalised with anything you think your children are a proud member of, for mine it is certainly the 6am club! We're up early every morning, but your children's t-shirts could say 'brotherhood', 'sisterhood' etc. You can choose from baby vests in sizes 0-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12-18 months and t-shirts in sizes 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 years. I decided to size up for Isabella and Poppy, so that I could tuck them into skirts for now and then wear them as t-shirts when they're a bit bigger which has worked really well. The clothing is available in red, black or white and would make such a thoughtful gift for siblings.
Toddler Backpack - Unicorn Blue (£15.99) from Fringoo - An essential for days out, nursery or pre-school has to be a backpack, especially one that is the perfect size for your toddler. The cute and fun unicorn design has drink bottle holders on either side, a fully insulated food safe compartment and padded adjustable straps to make it comfortable for children to carry themselves. The vibrant and original backpack range from Fringoo include an owl, green dinosaur, red dinosaur, pug, cat, pirate and star unicorn. They are all made from neoprene, which means the colours are extra bright and it makes them suitably durable for life with a toddler.
Bedtime Story Spot Round Cushion (£35) from So Close Studio - Snuggling up together and reading a bedtime story has to be the calmest part of the day with a toddler. It's the time when we all sit together to enjoy entering the magical world of a story after a busy day and this beautiful personalised cushion from So Close Studio is perfect for snuggling up with. You can have it personalised with parents, grandparents, siblings etc. names and choose from black, silver or gold for the wording. It is also available in a square cushion, if you prefer. A Bedtime Story Spot Cushion would make such a special gift for children, grandparents or even parents that really treasure that time of the day.
Woodland Party Kids Melamine Dinner Set (£25) from Sophie Allport - It's so exciting when babies become toddlers and are suddenly able to take great pride in feeding themselves. Embrace the milestone and desire for independence with a Dinner Set from Sophie Allport, also available in Dinosaurs, Flamingos, On the Farm and Safari. Each set contains a plate, knife, fork, spoon, bowl, cup and egg cup, which is everything any child will need to transition from weaning all the way to eating/drinking completely independently. This Woodland Party design is so delicate yet detailed, so that children can enjoy spotting their favourite woodland animals amongst the trees and bunting. It all comes together in a gift box, making gift giving that bit easier and there is an array of matching items also available on the Sophie Allport website, including bibs, lunchboxes, backpacks and aprons.

Classic Dream Blanket - Benita Bird (£44.95) from aden + anais - How beautiful is this limited-edition design by Brooklyn-based artist Natchie? Aden + anais have collaborated with Natchie to create a range of unique products across their range of blankets, sleeping bags, swaddles and muslin squares. The Benita Bird Dream Blanket has four layers of 100% cotton muslin, which makes it super soft and cosy for snuggling with. It is also thick enough to be used as a play mat, so is a very versatile gift to give this Christmas. One side is filled with magical mermaids looking into mirrors, while the other side has colourful birds. The contrast in patterns enables you to have two looks from one blanket, yet the coordinated colour palette between the two sides brings them both together perfectly. The aden + anais Dream Blankets are also available in an array of patterns, including Disney collaborations, metallic gold deco, whales, twinkle stars and butterflies
Dots and Rainbows Microfiber Rain Jacket (£36) from Hatley - Exploring the outdoors is such a fun part of becoming a toddler, so giving the gift of a rain jacket couldn't be more perfect for the toddlers in your life. Hatley have a range of fun patterned rain jackets, including this Dots and Rainbows one with an elasticated waist, exposed front zipper and fully lined inside. It is a lightweight, yet warm rain jacket that can easily be taken out on adventures while the pockets are where treasures can be stored. Personally, I would recommend sizing up because Isabella is wearing a size 4 (she's 3.5 years) and when the coat is done up it is on the tighter side.
Riley Infant Boots (£28) from Chipmunks - The classic brogue design of these boots makes them a timeless and easy to wear choice this autumn/winter. Riley Boots are made with a durable full grain leather upper, have a chunky non-slip sole (especially useful for relatively new walkers), easy pull on tab and elasticated side panels making them easy to get on and off. Their clever design makes them practical yet stylish, whilst the black patent colour suit every outfit or occasion. Chipmunks also have a wide range of boots, shoes, slippers and school shoes, all of which are supportive, durable and practical. They have to be the three things us parents look for when buying footwear for our little ones, as well as being available in infant sizes 4-12 and junior 13-2.

Sweet Dreams Moon & Stars Wooden Balancing Game (£18) from Burble Baby - This is the perfect gift for those inquisitive toddler minds, as they can quite literally touch the moon and stars. Playing this balancing game will not only help to develop fine motor skills, but also keep their imaginations full of magic. The cute moon acts as a base for the golden stars to be balanced on; a fun game to play together or the focus for a made-up story at bedtime. It would also make a beautiful addition to any nursery/bedroom, doubling up as a decorative feature. Burble Baby have a whole host of changing bags, gifts for children and parents and the opportunity to create a bespoke hamper filled with some of their top gifts. Better still, when you sign up to their newsletter you'll receive 15% off your first order and they'll often throw in a free gift with orders too!

I have also put together a Gift Guide for Babies and Gift Guide for Parents.
