RECIPE: Caprese Pull Apart Cheesy Garlic Bread

RECIPE: Caprese Pull Apart Garlic Bread

Oozy stringy mozzarella cheese, the rich depth of sundried tomatoes and the pungent flavour of basil are such a perfect combination, but why keep them to just a caprese salad? Bringing this traditional combination together with punchy garlic and a loaf of bread makes for the most delicious pull apart cheesy bread that is ideal for sharing with friends or family. It is incredibly easy and quick to make too, using largely store cupboard ingredients. My children also really enjoy helping to mix the ingredients together, spread the garlic herb butter and stuff the bread with the cheese. We love cooking together and if you do too then this is the perfect easy recipe to do together.
What you'll need:
1x 400g Loaf of Fresh Bread
2x Garlic Cloves, minced
Butter, melted
6-10 Sundried Tomatoes, chopped
150g Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese Grated Mix
Dip
4 tbsp. Olive Oil
2 tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar

What to do:
1) Preheat your oven to 180'C.
2) Cut your loaf of bread into 2cm chunks, ensuring not to cut all the way through. The loaf of bread still needs to be together on the base.
3) Mix together the herbs, minced garlic and melted butter, then pour it all over the bread. You want each chunk of bread to have some of the garlicy basil butter, so that the flavours are in every mouthful.
4) Mix together the sundried tomatoes and grated cheese. Fill in the gaps between each chunk of bread with the cheese/sundried tomato mix.
5) Wrap the loaf in foil, place on a baking tray and cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is starting to melt.
6) Remove the foil and place back in the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
7) While the pull apart bread is cooking pour the olive oil and balsamic vinegar into a small dipping bowl.
8) Once the bread is cooked, all the cheese is melted remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly. It will be too hot to pull apart straight from the oven.
9) Serve the Calprese Pull Apart Garlic Bread with the olive oil/balsamic vinegar for dipping.
Have you tried a pull apart bread before?
