My hair is the flattest of flat normally and it completely baffles me! Though I've had a side parting since I was about 9 years old (I remember having my fringe clipped with about 20 clips to help it grow out - oh the coolness) my hair STILL naturally sits a centre parting! Talk about stubborn. So I'm constantly looking for the product that actually promises and delivers in creating volumised hair. I bought this John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Volumising Mousse from Boots for £5.19. So it was very reasonably priced and because its a mousse it lasts a good length of time!
I found it's easy to control how much came out, which is always a positive. I turned my head upside down and applied the product to my roots and the ends of my hair. It did leave a slightly tacky feeling on my hands but quickly washed off. I did see a noticeable difference to my hair, it was more volumised without looking greasy! After a couple of hours my hair didn't feel very 'newly washed', if you know what I mean? It's to be expected when you apply a leave in product to your hair but as I don't usually, it did take some getting used to. I wouldn't say you could notice to look at my hair but I could feel the difference.
After curling my hair slightly with Toni & Guy wide curling tongs.
Have you tried any volumising products that you'd recommend?
Feel free to leave me a comment :)
I love John Frieda products, though a mousse isn't something I'd normally go for, it sounds interesting!

Sorry that isn't entirely relevant to the review, but your hair is gorgeous! x

Sounds interesting, I never use mousses, too scared they'll weigh down my hair and make it feel congested.

I have the regular version of this and absolutely love it. I completely agree about the icky feeling it leaves on your hands. Not nice. x

Sounds like a good product. I have naturally really flat hair and I use lee stafford products then dry my hair upside down to give it some 'oomph'!

Oh this sounds lovely! I always get put off using mousse because of the feeling of product in my hair, but I guess you just have to stick with it and get used to it?
ReplyDeleteI've come over from the #bbloggers chat, would love you to take a peek at my blog? :)
