Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I have to admit, due to my absolute love for getting people thoughtful, personal and unique presents, I always seem to be Christmas shopping! Yep, I'm one of THOSE annoying people. However the look on people's face when they receive a unique, personal present is just so rewarding, I could never stop being one of THOSE people! So when I came across Letterfest, I fell in love. Letterfest is a lovely company that offer a range of personalised gifts, prints, stationary and illustrations. Their illustrations really caught my eye, why had I never thought to get my loved ones a completely personal illustration?! Your effort as the gift giver is minimal (perfect for this busy life we all have to lead), you simply send a photograph of the item/scene/person you want them to draw, wait up to 10 days for it to be created and delivered, then spend a long time admiring the illustrators hard work and skill.
Letterfest offer a bespoke car, pet, christening venue, house, hobby, toy, favourite interior, place, or sports stadium illustration, as well as portrait sketches - a unique present for anyone! As soon as I saw these my mind started to race, who could I give one to and what would it be of?! The options were endless and I knew that the clear thought put into the gift would make it extra special. The prices for bespoke illustrations range between £33-£95 but the majority are around £40, which I think is very reasonable for the time, skill and beautifulness (is that even a word?!) of the illustrations.
I was kindly offered a bespoke illustration from Letterfest, I opted for a 'Favourite Place' drawing (£40) and I couldn't be happier with the end product! I sent in a picture of the moment just before Tom proposed to me, such a special moment in both of our lives (see the post about our engagement here). What a perfect gift for those hard to buy for people we all have in our lives - mine seen to mostly be men!
This was the photo I sent to Letterfest....

This is the stunning end result...

The picture was so well packaged, there was no risk of the illustration being ruined in transit. I always think it's little details like this that make a company outstanding, which Letterfest definitely are!

You also get a personalised message within the price, I decided for the place where we got engaged and the date. A special moment transformed into a special gift I know Tom will LOVE!
I don't feel that words can express how much I love this illustration and how special it is to me (even though it's not meant to be for me!) If you want a personal, unique gift then having a browse around the gorgeous Letterfest website is a must :)
Where would you have drawn?
Feel free to leave me a comment - I'd love to know what you think :)

Congratulations on your engagement! I got engaged this year too :)
ReplyDeleteSomething like this would make a really nice touch for wedding stationary, like on your invites etc, although it would be a little pricey!
Really fab though! Thank you for posting :)
