MATERNITY STYLE: A More Formal Look For Work Or Play

Sometimes, just sometimes, I actually feel like dressing up a bit. This pregnancy has been full of comfy clothes, stretchy materials and not much structure, which has been fine and lovely most of the time. However for those important days at work or dinner dates Tom and I are trying to squeeze in before the baby is born, I just fancied dressing up a bit. We still have stretchy materials but I feel so much more like a 'normal' human being in this outfit, if that makes any sense? It's amazing what an outfit can do for confidence. I actually took these photos when I was 31 weeks pregnant, my bump looks so small compared to it's ginormous size now, at almost 38 weeks!

Did/Do you like to dress up sometimes during your pregnancy?

  1. I've been feeling the same...the majority of the time it's comfort all the way, but sometimes it is nice to dress up and feel somewhat like my normal self (although I haven't braved heels for a while). I was looking at the New Look 3 pack of vests, how have you found them to fit as you've grown? My vest tops from Topshop have got quite a lot shorter over the past couple of weeks, which is annoying 'cause I can't really wear them with leggings anymore.

    1. I've had the same issue with a lit of my tops getting far too short! The New Look ones are ok, I've got the long sleeved and vest sets and I'm still wearing both now I'm 38 weeks pregnant. I'd recommend getting them and it's worth checking the price of them on asos, as they are sometimes on offer :)

  2. You look lovely here. I really enjoyed making an effort and dressing up when I was pregnant, I felt it really lifted my mood.
