FAMILY HOLIDAY: 3 Places to Visit near Bude in Cornwall

The first day of the holiday in Bude was travelling down, via my auntie and uncles house in Bristol for lunch. It was so lovely to introduce Isabella to them and have a good old catch up. When we finally arrived we unpacked and settled ourselves in. I love that part of a holiday- discovering a new place and setting up home for a week. I had ordered an online food shop to be delivered in the evening, which made things so much easier - I'd highly recommend it! Isabella had been in the car seat for over 4 hours during the day so we were keen to keep her out of it in the evening.

The second day of our holiday was Father's Day, so I got up extra early and cooked a full English breakfast for my husband. Isabella did in fact give us both a lovely present - she slept through the night for the first time! It makes such a difference having solid sleep, rather than broken sleep! My husband opened his presents from Isabella, including some pottery painting we had done for him. We then headed out to discover the local area with a trip to Bude, The Wier and a beautiful beach called Widemouth.

Here are three places that are worth visiting if you're visiting the Bude area...

Where did you go on your first family holiday?

    1. Same! We live in the Midlands, so it's a good 1.5 hours to the coast. When I retire I'll live near the sea...

  2. Lovely photos! It looks like you had a great time. How lovely that she slept through for Father's Day, Aria did the same for my 30th birthday! It's as if they know :)

  3. A full nights sleep is definitely the best present! I love Bude, we went for a mini staycation to Kilkhampton earlier this year despite only living an hour away and went there, and loved it.
