Isabella turned two in April and it seemed like the perfect time to move her into her 'big girl room' (aka. the spare room). Though we don't need the nursery for a while, as bump will sleep in our bedroom for a good few months to begin with. It made sense to do it before baby arrives. I would hate for Isabella to feel pushed out because of her little sister's arrival, so we were planning on doing it well in advance.
It's a big job as the ceiling needed to be taken down and replaced, as well as the usual decorating jobs. We're making good progress, but it's not quite as far in advance as we were hoping (I'm updating our progress on my instastories - treasureeverym - if you want to follow the project). Fingers crossed Isabella is settled by the time the baby comes! I may not be able to help much with the DIY side of her bedroom I can certainly shop around for pretty decorations and accessories. I've searched the more independent stores/companies high and low to find this selection of pretty accessories perfect for any bedroom or nursery...
Vintage Ditsy Bed Set 2-Pack from Next

Wooden Bunny Photo Frame from H&M
Personalised Liberty Name Sign Felicite from Little Cloud
A Little Lovely Company Penguin & Polar Bear Hanger Set from Monkey McCoy
Small Wooden Blocks in Spring Colours 30 pieces from Happy Little Folks
Numero 74 Pink Star Garland from Smallable
Personalised Liberty Glitter Initial Cushion in Betsy Pink from Little Cloud
Dusty Pink Cotton Canopy by Numero 74 from Molly Meg
Rose Seagrass Basket from Turtle Dove Living
Betsy Mint & Lilac Liberty Moon from Little Cloud
Alba Shelf in White from This Modern Life
After a lot of pinning bedroom ideas on Pinterest (see my 'Children's Bedroom Inspiration' board here) we settled on a light, airy theme with touches of pink. We don't want Isabella's bedroom to end up being too pink, so when we finally get around to painting it we'll have to try to get the balance just right. I can't wait to start decorating now, she'll finally have space to play in her bedroom.
Which is your favourite piece? Do you have any independent/Instagram stores you'd recommend for bedroom accessories?
