After keeping us waiting for 12 days past her due date my bump finally became a baby at 9.46pm on 14th June 2017 weighing 8lbs 13ozs. A mere 8 hours after the induction process began, with established labour only lasting 1 hour 25 minutes! It couldn't have been a more different experience to Isabella's birth. I'll be writing up my birth story soon, as well as my experience of the induction process.
I've been keeping this little one's name a secret on social media since her birth, but now is the time for the big reveal. We have decided to name our second daughter...
Poppy
There are lots of reasons behind choosing this name, aside from the fact we obviously love it. It's linked closely to a family member who we sadly lost recently and they were my late Grandma's favourite flowers. As I write this we still haven't settled on a middle name, it's between two options. Choosing a name is such a big decision and since giving birth (who am I kidding - since forever!) I've been the most indecisive person.
This beautiful 'Welcome to the World' card is from a set of Vintage Floral Baby Milestone Cards* by Nina Thomas.
How did you decide on your little one's name?
Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)

What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl <3
ReplyDeletePicking names is so hard! We never could agree on a girl's name so I was glad we had a boy. We both always liked the name Jenson and his middle name is in memory of Luke's late uncle.
Gorgeous name!! She is absolutely lovely! We have a boys name ready if we decide to have another, but if it's a girl then we're stuck as we can't agree haha xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, she is absolutely beautiful. I love the name Poppy.
