Happy Friday everyone! It's been a week of ups and downs, with a potentially teething baby who has been pretty grumpy paired with a toddler who has made me immensely proud on many occasions. Let's just say I'm looking forward to some joint parenting over the weekend. On a more positive note, I'm so excited that it is cooler and autumn seems to be rolling in quickly. I'm so ready for cosying up with hot chocolates and homemade soup.
The Mini Boden catalogue. This popped through our letterbox the other day and I was quickly sucked into the beauty that is Mini Boden clothing. I may have made a little purchase, thanks to a £10 off voucher paired with 20% off and free delivery. It would have been rude not to!
Tin Star. A new crime drama on Sky Atlantic based in a small mountain town that is overrun by migrant oil workers. It is gripping from the word go, with some really scary moments that will make you jump and have you on the edge of your seat. Just the kind of programme I have become to love! We have also started watching Rellik, it's too early days to say if I'd recommend it or not but it's looking promising too.
Isabella's nursery parent's meeting. I still can't get my head around the fact that my first born baby goes to nursery and has a whole folder on her development. It is so interesting to see how far she's come, but part of me does just think...let toddlers be toddlers. Either way we were so proud to see and hear how well she is doing at nursery, especially in relation to playing with her peers. When we got to Mums & Tots group Isabella usually opts to play by herself (her struggle to share has something to do with this), so it was lovely and comforting to hear she does play with her peers at nursery.
Some time for myself. Now that we have settled into life with a baby and toddler it is possible for me to grab five minutes every so often to have a bath, glass of wine and pamper myself. I don't take the opportunity as often as I should, but when I do it is so nice to use some extra special products (that will last me a lifetime at the rate I use them!). These include the Crabtree & Evelyn Pomegranate & Argan Oil Nutri-Oil* and the Pear & Pink Magnolia Body Lotion*, pure luxury in a bottle. If I'm honest I used to think that Crabtree & Evelyn was aimed at an older audience than myself, but since browsing their website I couldn't be more wrong. They have recently launched six naturally derived ranges that offer well-being benefits for the mind and body, including: Lavender and Espresso to calm, Rosewater and Pink Peppercorn to hydrate, Citron and Coriander to energise, Pomegranate and Argan Oil to nourish, Pear and Pink Magnolia to uplift and Goatmilk and Oat to soothe. Something for everyone's skin type!
On evenings when I have a bit longer I've been opting for the Pear & Pink Magnolia Body Lotion, which is so luxurious and again smells divine. Both of these products have such beautiful scents that it's like applying a perfume, which beats my usual odour of breast milk and/or baby sick! I love the packaging of this body lotion, making it a special gift for a fellow mummy who needs a bit of 'me time'. If you've not checked out the beautiful range of products from Crabtree & Evelyn then I'd highly recommend heading over to their website - it's the treat we all deserve every once in a while (or one to go on the Christmas list).
My coat. It has suddenly got so cold that the sandals and maxi dresses have been replaced with boots and coats! The heating has been on, cosy blankets dug out and hot chocolates drunk...autumn is here, that's for sure. We visited my Dad and brother at the weekend, which was just so lovely. I don't go to see them enough and spending a day with them made my heart feel so full. I must make the effort more often, but I'm just such a scared driver since the crash last year. It's so annoying that anxiety wins most of the time, but I'll get there one day.
I caught Isabella holding Poppy's hand while I was getting ready. No more words needed...it melted my heart beyond belief.
What have you been loving this week?
Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)

Aw that picture of your girls holding hands is lovely. Sounds like it's been a good month apart from the teething! Glad that you are finding sometime to do things for yourself, that's so important xx #blogstravaganza
ReplyDeleteOh I'm a bit of a Mini Boden obsessive! My youngest girl suits their colours and fun prints, it would be rude not to get them for her ;) I'm also in a Preloved Mini Boden group on FB and have bought loads of gorgeous stuff for both my girls at great prices.

Awww I love it when siblings as young as that show love to one another. I will be checking out that book as I need to start reading again.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is so so cold isn't it?! It's like winter already - the summer seemed to finish so suddenly this year. Also, your photos are beautiful - loving the flat lays x
ReplyDeleteOh those little hands holding each other, too cute! I'm glad you've been making some time for yourself. Have a lovely week x #LittleLoves
ReplyDeleteYep, coats are out in force today! The winter coats have been dug out of the cupboard! It's scary how much paperwork there is , I was taken aback when my eldest started preschool
ReplyDeleteThat picture of them holding hands.....it's SO CUTE! :D
ReplyDeleteThat body lotion sounds so delicious. I really need to try some new products. My skin is so dry at the moment. We had Evie's nursery parents meeting recently too. I agree with you, sometimes toddlers just need to be toddlers. It was amazing hearing how many things she was learning, but I do hope that there is a lot of play time in amongst the learning too. xx
Sounds like you had a lovely week. My hubby watched Tin Star too but it was a bit strange for my taste
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the creams, I want to start looking after my skin more.
ReplyDeleteJust a coat? I've had to get my onesie out too!!

ReplyDeleteI adore the way you've set out this post. It's beautiful. Tin Star sounds interesting. I'll have to look that up.
ReplyDeleteI haven't submitted and put our heating on or dug my coat out yet, but I must admit, I have been spending my evening swathed in blankets and pinching my other half's hoodie on dog walks.
Your two little ones holding hands is the cutest thing ever! I do miss mine being little x
