CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: For Children 2018

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: For Children 2018
*Advertorial Content
Buying Christmas presents for children can be challenging because there are quite simply so many different options. I've popped together a range of ideas in this gift guide for children's 'main present' or those bigger gifts that appear on the letter to Father Christmas. A big part of the magic at Christmas time is seeing those excited faces of children when they open their presents, isn't it? I hope that these gifts will get exactly that reaction, so on with the guide...

Flower Print Mum/Child/Sibling Matching Sweatshirts Set (£39.50) from Little Dandies - Little Dandies have a vibrant range of hand-drawn animals that are skilfully handprinted here in the United Kingdom. Baby grows, t-shirts, sweatshirts, cushions, prints and pyjamas make up their fun product range, as well as matching sets for parents and/or siblings. You can't beat a bit of twinning, can you? Although this set is originally for a Mum and Child, Little Dandies are incredibly helpful and are more than happy to create bespoke orders using their range of handprinted designs. The flower print design includes a range of colourful flowers and an elegant swan in the centre. The sweatshirts are so soft and cosy on the inside, making them ideal during the winter months.
Amelia Coat in Pink (£29.95) from Lighthouse Clothing - A really cosy waterproof coat is just what is needed in autumn/winter and this pink Amelia Coat will brighten any rainy day. It is lightweight yet equipped with many practical features to keep little ones warm, dry and protected from the elements. It's the perfect gift for any child who loves exploring the outdoors whatever the weather and is available in sizes from 1-2 years all the way to 7-8 years.
Hedgehog Knitted Hot Water Bottle (£28) from Sophie Allport - When the cold nights make getting warm difficult fill a Sophie Allport Hot Water Bottle and put it in your child's bed before bedtime. Is there a better treat on a cold evening than getting into a warm, cosy bed? You could also use it while snuggling up to watch a film or when going on a cold car journey. Sophie Allport does a range of Hot Water Bottles, including Sheep, Elephants, Flamingos and Highland Stag. This hedgehog design also matches a range of other products, such as a cushion and blanket, if you like things to be matching.

Personalised Wooden Tool Kit Toy (£35.95) from Twenty-Seven - Wooden toys are such a classic way for children to embrace their imagination and have a break from the technology that surrounds them nowadays. Twenty-Seven have a beautiful range of wooden toys for a range of ages, many of which can be personalised for that extra special touch. This Personalised Wooden Tool Kit comes in a sturdy carry case and when opened you'll find it filled with a range of wooden tools carefully stored away. This set includes a hammer, pliers, ruler, spanner, wrench and saw, which is all your little one will need to get fixing everything around your house.

Sylvanian Families - Town Series - Delicious Restaurant (£44.99) from Smyths - The Sylvanians are such a nostalgic childhood toy for many and their exciting new Town Series is filled with classic buildings, characters and accessories. The grand Delicious Restaurant has two floors, a patio outdoor area and all the accessories your child needs to bring the restaurant to life through their imagination. From saucepans, to chef whites, a menu stand and plates of food, any Sylvanian visiting the Delicious Restaurant is certain to have full tummies when they leave. The attention to detail throughout the Delicious Restaurant is beautiful and really helps to make it feel 'real' for children. Most of the buildings in the Town Series are connectable, so that you can create a completely unique town that can easily be changed as and when your child wants to.

The RAF Association is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to RAF families. The Association recognises that the RAF personnel and their immediate families dedicate their lives to their country and they believe that that sacrifice shouldn't result in poverty, loneliness or suffering. Whether it's an injured airman or woman fighting to get back on to their feet, a young child missing their parent or a World War II veteran needing a shoulder to lean on, they are there to help all generations of RAF personnel and their families. They offer practical, emotional and financial support in times of need. Their membership of more than 72,000 includes serving RAF personnel, veterans and members of the public who want to show their support for the work they do. Across the UK in 2017 the Association carried out more than 115,000 welfare contacts, calls and visits, so by choosing a Christmas Gift from their museum shop you are also choosing to help support the RAF personnel and their families.
