CHRISTMAS: Gift Guide for Children £10 and Under 2019

CHRISTMAS: Gift Guide for Children £10 and Under 2019
*Advertorial Content - Gifted Items
This time of year can get very expensive with many loved ones to buy for, not to mention friends, stocking fillers and all those late in the year birthdays. Luckily, there are always so many different affordable gifts for children and this year is no exception. It may surprise you what you can get for £10 and under, so if you have a budget this is the Gift Guide for you.

Cheeky Elf or Polar Bear Chocolate Model from Thorntons (£8 each or 2 for £12) - Chocolate has to be one of the best affordable treats you can open up at Christmas, doesn't it? It makes for a tasty stocking filler, secret Santa gift or gift for a friend; anyone, adult or child alike, would be happy opening up one of these chocolate models on Christmas day. This year Thorntons have four different models to choose from, including a reindeer, Santa and these two below, so you can tailor your choice to the chocolate/ character the lucky recipient would like the most. A really nice touch with any of these is that Thorntons will add a personalised iced message for free, so you can easily make this an even more thoughtful gift.
Pop Pop Hair Surprise from Smyths Toys (£9.99 each) - Wear, share and style with Pop Pop Hair; an interactive and fun surprise for children with three characters in one. Hiding inside the Pop Brush is a surprise that will only pop open when sprayed with water using the spray bottle nestled inside the brush handle. Children can spray the Pop Pod and watch the surprise pop open to reveal a Hair Roller. But that's not it, inside the Hair Roller they'll discover an adorable Pop Hair Pet who has extra long hair, perfect for styling and braiding. They can also wear their Pop Hair Pet in their hair to add a fun touch!

Scratch Magic Rainbow Note Cubes from Melissa & Doug (£6.99) - The concept behind these is so simple, yet they have seriously impressive results that are really easy to create. A creative gift for both adults and children, as they are so versatile and effective; a fun way to leave messages, send to loved ones, create images or simply reveal the bright rainbow behind the dark black exterior. Using the wooden stick included you can scratch away your chosen message/ design and with 125 notes within this cube you can let your creativity go wild.
Spiders and Spouts Mini Game and Little Bus Lotto Mini Game from Orchard Toys (£5 each) - Orchard Toys Mini Games are such an affordable and fun yet educational gift choice for a wide range of ages. Both Isabella and Poppy love playing Orchard Toys games, which I think is mainly because of how engaging, easy to follow and interactive they all are. All of the Orchard Toys Mini Games are only £5 each and the range appeals to a wide variety of interests/abilities, including dinosaurs, animals, counting, matching, classic games etc. Spiders and Spouts Mini Game is aimed at 4-7 year olds, which is a fun twist on the traditional snakes & ladders game. Whereas, the Little Bus Lotto Mini Game is aimed at 3-6 year olds (although Poppy is 2 years old and loves playing this) and tests matching/memory skills. Players have to turn over an animal passenger card, either match it to the animals on their bus or place it back down for another player who has that animal to remember where it is. All of the Mini Games are compact enough to be travel-friendly and portable too.
A Treasure Cove Story - Paw Patrol - All Star Pups (£2.99) from BrightMinds - Snuggling up and reading a story at this time of year is just perfection and BrightMinds have a vast range of story books for all ages. Paw Patrol has many fans and now you can enjoy the very popular characters (without the screen) by reading this All Star Pups book. The hardback cover means it can stand up to eager little hands and children will love seeing the adventures of Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Skye, Everest, Zuma and Tracker.

Magical Unicorn Bath Fizzer from Rex London (£3.95) - Bath fizzers are such fun and make children feel so 'grown up', but Rex London have taken things a step further and included a surprise! Their range of bath fizzers include: Mermaid, Spider, Magical Unicorn and Sea Creatures, all of which are filled with a surprise toy. Children will love putting these bath fizzers in the bath, watching them fizz away eagerly waiting to see what surprise they're going to find. Inside each Magical Unicorn Bath Fizzer there'll find one unicorn toy in either blue, green, yellow or pink.
Mermaid or Spaceman Bath Mirror Set from Nuby (£7.99 each) - How fun are these bath mirrors? Your little one can transform their reflection into a mermaid or spaceman with these bath mirror sets that sucker onto the side of the bath or on tiles and come with accessories to bring the magic alive. The clear reflective mirror allows your child to see their reflection easily and behind there is a clever hidden storage section to keep all of the accessories in. The Spaceman set comes with a fun little robot and spaceship squirter, whereas the Mermaid set includes a little comb and lipstick squirter.
Forest Friends Mini Colouring and Games from Rex London (£2.95) - Keeping children entertained on meals out, while visiting family, on car journeys etc. is always a challenge, which is why gifts like this Mini Colouring and Games set are ideal. The compact and clever design allows your child to unroll to discover a fun range of colouring in sheets and games that can be completed with the included seven colour colouring crayon. They'll find mazes, challenges, pictures and spot the differences, which will keep them entertained for hours. Rex London also do this gift in a Space Age theme and Prehistoric Land theme.
Little Wipe-Clean Dinosaurs to Copy and Trace (£4.99) from BrightMinds - Usbourne Books have a really lovely range of interactive books for children to learn, discover and develop from, including this Wipe-Clean Dinosaurs to Copy and Trace Book. The fact that wipe-clean books are reusable is ideal for children because it means that they can use them again and again without getting through reams of paper. Inside this book your child will find the outlines of a variety of different dinosaurs for them to trace and eventually learn how to draw independently. This is the stocking filler gift for a dinosaur lover and/or someone who wants to practice their pen control too.
Treats 3D Pencil Case from Nuby (£7.99) - Is there anything more exciting than getting a new pencil case once you've started school? Neatly lining up your pencils and colouring crayons, ready to get creative at any moment. Nuby may be best known for their range of beakers and bottles, but they also have a whole Back to School range too including backpacks, pencil cases and lunch bags. Their 3D pencil case is available in this Treats design, as well as Robots so you can pick whichever your child would prefer. This hardtop pencil case is built to last with two internal mesh compartments, six internal pen slots, a sturdy zip fastening and lots of additional space to be filled with creations. I find that filling a large pencil case like this one with a range of different activities (could be colouring sheets, games, paper etc.) is a convenient and compact way to take entertainment out with us for Isabella. Ideal for meals out or visiting family, as everything is self-contained within the pencil case and it allows Isabella to be independent too.
Disney's Frozen II Elsa Character Wallet from Smiggle (£10) - It's big news in the cinema world...Frozen II has been released with a lot of children and adults seriously excited about it! Smiggle have brought out a lovely range of Anna and Elsa Frozen II gifts and accessories just in time for Christmas, including this sparkly wallet. It has two zipped pockets, a transparent ID slot, four card slots and velcro closure. The perfect place to store Christmas money, pocket money or simply for playing shops with at home.

I have also put together a range of other gift guides aimed at the whole family, including the adorable babies in your life and the parents who really need some 'me' time.

Which affordable gift would the little people in your life want from this selection?

Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)
