PRE-SCHOOLER: Our Experience of Toilet Training Regression and What Helped

PRE-SCHOOLER: Our Experience of Toilet Training Regression and What Helped
At the end of 2017 we decided it was the perfect opportunity to start potty training Isabella, at 2.5 years old she was able to communicate when she needed the toilet and we had around a month with no real commitments. Though I felt very apprehensive about the whole 'potty training' world we took the plunge and put her straight into pants. After a few accidents Isabella seemed to take to potty training really well; my worst fears quickly washed away and I started to feel confident that we could do this big milestone in her life. Months and months passed where there would only be the odd accident, mainly if we were on a long journey or not near a suitable toilet quick enough. I couldn't believe our luck!

INTRODUCING: Bambo Nature and their First Ever Press Event

INTRODUCING: Bambo Nature and their First Ever Press Event

A few weeks ago we headed to the Bambo Nature Press Event at the stunning Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens. I had come across Bambo Nature a while ago and was excited to find out more about the ethos behind the brand and their range of products. As we arrived at the event venue we were greeted by the lovely ladies behind Bambo Nature and their PR team. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of fun activities for the children to take part in. Isabella headed straight for the craft table, which was set up with a variety of environmentally friendly craft activities. Before I could even put my bag down Isabella was threading beads and pieces of bamboo onto garden wire, ready to create an eco-friendly room decoration! Luckily the lady running the activities was so helpful and guided Isabella through the steps, so I had a chance to look around at the Bambo Nature products and listen to the talk about the brand.

TODDLER: Our Potty Training Journey and 10 Tips that Helped

A few months ago now we breached the much dreaded (on my part) milestone of potty training with Isabella. I was dreading it for many reasons, partially because I worked in a nursery during the summer of my degree and saw the mess that can be created and partially because having two children to look after is hard enough without the addition of potty training too. However when a lot of our NCT friends started potty training their children I started to wonder whether it was our time too. After many discussions with fellow mummies, buying all the paraphernalia that comes with potty training and setting a date in my head (and telling nursery so I was committed!) we were all ready for the big change.

TODDLER: The start of potty training

June marks National Potty Training Awareness Month - believe it or not there is such a thing! So I thought it would be the perfect time to share how we've started the (often dreaded) journey of potty training Isabella. She's almost 15 months, which some may think is too early to properly start and it is for Isabella. She can't clearly communicate, isn't aware of when she is going to the toilet and doesn't understand the concept of going to the toilet. Despite all this we have been starting to do little things, in the hope that it will make the journey easier when the time is right.
