PREGNANCY: Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine

Two Christmas' ago I was pregnant with Isabella, the next I was breastfeeding and now I'm pregnant again. As this is my third Christmas in a row that I've not been able to drink mulled wine I've taken the matter into my own hands. This is such a simple way of creating the next best thing to alcoholic mulled wine, so whether you're also pregnant, choose not to drink or just want an alternative then why not make a batch to take to all of those Christmas social events?

What you'll need:
1 Bottle of non-alcoholic red wine
(this can be found in the wine aisle in larger supermarkets)
2 sachets of Mulled wine spice
1 Orange, sliced
3-4 tbsp. Light brown soft sugar

What to do:
1) Place the non-alcoholic red wine, two sachets of mulled wine spice and the light brown soft sugar into a saucepan over a low heat. Stir every now and again.
2) Once the 'wine' is beginning to warm up add the orange slices and continue to warm through. Keep trying the flavour as it warms, removing the mulled wine sachets once you're happy with the flavour.
3) Serve with an orange slice in a festive mug or glass.

What's your favourite non-alcoholic festive drink?

Feel free to leave a comment :)

  1. Last year I had the same problem. I too did a Non alcoholic mulled wine to cheer myself up. I also made a mulled apple juice and an orange and cranberry spritzer, both were great. :-) x
