#LittleLoves: Love Island, Babys Position and Voting

Yet another week I really thought I wouldn't be able to write this #LittleLoves post, yet I am. Despite having pains throughout most nights and her feeling extremely low labour hasn't started and we still haven't met our baby girl! I'm booked in for an induction next week, so I definitely won't be publishing next Friday and that feels all a bit surreal. I really don't want to go down the induction route again, but if that's the way it has to be then so be it. I'm just so eager to get the pain of labour out of the way!
Ami's Birth Story. Ami and I have shared a lot of our pregnancy journey together over the internet, so when she announced the birth of her daughter Florence I couldn't have been happier. Florence is such a little cutie (check out Ami's Instagram for all the baby pictures!) and her birth story is intense! I have been loving reading birth stories again this week, as if it will send labour vibes to my own womb...with no luck yet.
Birth Story
Love Island. Oh I love this programme so much! It's the programme I save to watch during Isabella's nap time as a little treat. Who do you think will end up being a 'proper' couple? On first impressions I think Kem's funny and that Sam and Olivia would make a cute (and slightly unlikely) couple.

That our baby isn't back to back anymore, but that her head wasn't engaged. I was booked in to have a stretch and sweep (oh joy) on Tuesday, but after getting myself pretty worked up about it the midwife felt where the head was and it wasn't engaged. Apparently it was therefore too dangerous to do the stretch and sweep because the umbilical cord could come out before the baby, if my waters did break and that can cause many issues. As a result I've been booked in to be induced next week, which is far from ideal and I'm really hoping labour starts naturally beforehand.

Yet another nail appointment. I decided that I'd treat myself and get my nails done at a local salon prior to giving birth, that was at 38.5 weeks pregnant. I'm now 41 weeks, so they needed to be re-done and I went for this light pink colour. I have a Sensationail kit and always do my own gel nails, so it was a real treat sitting back and letting someone else pamper me. I'm just hoping I don't have to get them done a third time before this baby arrives!

Yellow Rain Coat from F&F Clothing. Isabella and I walked around to our village hall to vote, something I didn't think I'd be able to do due to giving birth. It also felt strange because last time I went to vote I carried Isabella up in a baby carrier because she was so teeny tiny! Now my energetic toddler ran most of the way there and back. The weather was miserable, so Isabella wore this bright yellow rain coat for the first time. It was a bargain from F&F Clothing in the sale and we bought it on the weekend they had 25% off everything. I think it ended up being about £8!
Family fun day. At the weekend we went to a local family fun day, mainly because it wasn't far from our house and my paranoia about waters breaking in public hasn't subsided. Isabella loved sitting on the tractors, going on her first children's ride, having an ice-cream, going on a tractor ride and seeing the baby lambs. I love events like this and hope to go to loads over the summer as a family of four.

What have you been loving this week?

Feel free to leave a comment - I love reading every single one :)

  10. Goodness, you must be so frustrated now! I hope you go into labour before the induction. I adore Isabellas coat, it's so cute! I was thinking the same thing when I went to vote. Last time I was carrying my little one and now she's asking me who Jeremy Corbyn and Teresa May are. She thinks Jeremy Corbyn cooks for people and looks like Santa and Teresa May is very grumpy haha. The weekend day out sound so lovely. It must be so surreal to think there will be four of you the next time you do things like that. x

  11. Counting down, not long to go! All 3 of mine were late and I needed an induction to get Zach out, otherwise he'd probably still be there! Good luck!
