Christmas is almost upon us and I'm sure, like me, you're either starting or in the middle of trying to think of thoughtful, special gift ideas for your loved ones. It seems to get trickier every year to think of unique gifts that our loved ones don't already own, which is why I'm here with this year's Family Christmas Gift Guide 2021! The gift options for children are vast and can be overwhelming at times. The television adverts, posters, endless toys in shops etc. all inspire the present possibilities for children. However, actually deciding which ones are worth the money and will be played with for longer than a couple of minutes can be the tricky part as a parent. In this gift guide I have put together a wide range of presents that would suit an array of ages, interests and price points. The excitement children have for Christmas is part of the reason it is such a magical time of year, so I always find it really special putting together my children's presents each year. Babies are such a joy to buy for, aren't they? The clothing is so teeny, the prints are adorable and the range of gifts is always growing. This year we are back to the world of babies with Rory's arrival in October, which is incredibly precious. As babies don't really need that much, in terms of toys, I always think Christmas is the perfect opportunity to treat the babies in your life to extra luxurious versions of what would usually be considered as 'essentials', for example muslin cloths and clothes. Christmas is coming. The shops are filling with singing Santa's, the festive to-do lists are being written and children across the world of are compiling their wish lists for Father Christmas. I absolutely love this time of year, but it is taken to a whole new level when you have your own children. Being part of creating that magic is so special (and filled with so much pressure!), but when it comes to filling stockings it can get very expensive for Father Christmas. I find it so interesting the different ways families celebrate Christmas, approach stockings and the traditions that are so personal to each family. We all do Christmas slightly differently and that's all part of the magic!

If you're familiar with the website dotcomgiftshop then you'll probably know it for outstanding value for money, a fun range of unique products and having something for every member of your family. It is the place to buy gifts, home accessories, tableware and seasonal decorations, or should I say was. Dotcomgiftshop no longer exists, instead they've had an exciting name change and are now called Rex London.

CELEBRATIONS: Ice-Cream Themed Joint 1st and 3rd Birthday Party

When it came to choosing a party theme for Isabella and Poppy's joint birthday party I knew it had to be Ice-Cream. It's Isabella's favourite treat and such a fun theme for getting in the mood for summer. We did originally plan to have the party nearer to the end of May, so it would be more in the middle of their birthdays but to ensure most of Isabella's little friends could come we had to bring it forward. This did make it harder to find ice-cream themed items in the shops and online, as a lot of retailers hadn't brought out their summer ranges yet. If we'd gone for a Bunny theme again, like we did last year, then it would have been a dream with all of the Easter ranges available! That's one of my biggest tips when it comes to party planning - think about your theme in relation to the time of year and party ranges that are easily available.
