FIRST BIRTHDAY: Gift Inspiration

As Isabella's first birthday is in around a week I thought I'd share some gift ideas that are ideal for first birthdays. Babies are such hard little beings to buy for, with interests constantly changing you really want to find gifts that will last. This collection of gift inspiration are all chosen due to their longevity, outstanding quality and serious cuteness (of course!)

BABY: DIY Hand printed Leggings Lookbook

Handprinting baby clothes has quickly become one of my top hobbies, only second to blogging. I make the most of Isabella's naps and early bedtime to create handprinted clothes for her. I love the creativness of hand stamping, making your own patterns and designs. Each of these leggings are completely bespoke to Isabella and only cost anywhere between £2-£4 to create. They aren't perfect but that's what I love about them, it's all part of them being unique. They are seriously easy to make and the possibility are endless! I thought I'd put together this kind of lookbook to share the handprinted leggings I've made so far as inspiration for anyone who fancies having a go themselves.

NURSERY: New Grey and White Star Additions

Grey and white stars is the theme we have in Isabella's nursery, it's not overwhelming but a few key pieces here and there. We went for a subtle grey/white on the walls, a feature turquoise cot and grey accessories - all of which a pretty gender neutral. Isabella won't be in her current bedroom forever, so we didn't want to make the room overly 'girly'. Recently we've picked up a couple of new additions to fit with the grey and white star theme and best of all they were bargains!

PLAYROOM: Creating a sensory tent at home

As part of Isabella's playroom I really wanted to create a sensory tent, as she loves anything that lights up or shines.

After comparing prices at other stores and on amazon.co.uk I don't think that Morrisons Baby & Child Event offers many good deals at all. If you shop around a lot of their 'deals' are actually more expensive than the usual price at places like amazon.co.uk. There are a range of offers on Johnsons baby products, pampers nappies, huggies wipes, pull ups and drynites but I couldn't find any offers on at Morrisons that were better than other shops.
