This is my third and final Gift Guide for Children for this year and it is one focusing on gifts between £10 and £25. That perfect middle zone for both friends and family, so you'll hopefully find something for everyone in here. It is so exciting this year, as Isabella is old enough for so many more of the children's toys rather than the toddler ones and it has opened up a whole new world in present buying. The range of gifts out there for children is pretty overwhelming at times, so I've chosen items that are perhaps slightly more unique and many are from smaller independent businesses too. So, without further ado, on with my final children's Gift Guide of 2018...
To the Moon and Back Print (£16) from Wildflower Illustration Co. - Wildflower Illustration Co. was set up and is run by the lovely Rebecca and Karl, due to their love for handwritten letters and being able to capture special moments forever. All of their creations are based around delicate watercolour and ink illustrations that are simply stunning. The love poured into each and every illustration is clear the moment you see one of their beautiful creations. This 'To the Moon and Back' print encapsulates magical mystery and a love that stretches so incredibly far, just like that for your own children. It is available in two sizes (A4 and A3) and can also be ordered with a floral wreath surround the moon.
Colour Changing Multi Hearts Splash Pants (£20) and Pretty Rainbows Rain Boots (£24) from Hatley - Autumn and winter (if we're honest, all year around here in the UK) are known for being wet, cold and just generally a bit miserable when it comes to the weather. But long rainy days spent stuck indoors are a thing of the past with these fun Colour Changing Multi Hearts Splash Pants, which will fascinate children and hours will be spent happily splashing in puddles. When water hits the hearts on the trousers they change from white to either pink or purple, adding that fun twist needed on a rainy day. They are available from 2 years to 8 years old and the elastic waistband means they will last for a long time. These are perfectly paired with the Pretty Rainbows Rain Boots that are easily slipped on over the splash pants. They are waterproof, have slip resistant soles, removeable insoles, are warm and PVC-free. You can pick them up in infant sizes 3 to 13, as well as childrens 2 and 3. Hatley also have a range of other outerwear available in the Pretty Rainbows pattern, so your child can be seriously coordinated.
Owl Notebook (£11.99) from Fringoo - Who remembers having secret diary or notebook as a child? I certainly do and this Owl Notebook from Fringoo has that exciting padlock and key children love so much. This is a fun fluffy notebook filled with lined pages that also have a daily mood recorder on each page using emojis. A modern twist that enables children to consider their emotions and use as a point of conversation between child and parent. Fringoo have a wide range of fun notebooks from Sequin Llamas to a Fluffy Bunny and Magical Mermaids.
Doey Slippers (£16) from Chipmunks - Keeping those little feet warm during these colder months is essential and Chipmunks range of cute animal slippers are perfect for just that. The sturdy, durable sole of the Chipmunks slippers protects children's feet from the cold, as well as rough surfaces. By having Velcro fastenings it makes them easy for children to get on and off themselves, encouraging that independence children so desperately want. Their cute slipper range includes: Doey the Deer (seen here), Katie the Rabbit, Piper the Penguin, Rocco the Racoon, Sharky the Shark and Scorch the Dragon to name a few. All slippers are available in infant sizes 4-12 and they have matching baby slippers too.Trendz Large Robot Backpack (£22.99) from Nuby - Nuby has created a range of backpacks in a variety of sizes that are filled with features to make life easier and make their bags as multi-functional as possible. This is their large sized backpack, which comes with four zip compartments with an internal pouch and two side pockets for storing bottles, reflective strips on the adjustable straps, wipe clean and carry handle. The internal pouch is large enough to fit in A4 books, which makes it the ideal backpack for school. You can also pick up this in a Treats design, as well as a variety of matching accessories. Nuby do free delivery on all orders over £15, so there would be no delivery cost when purchasing this backpack.
What a Performance Board Game (£16.50) from Orchard Toys - This is the game that all of your family and friends can get involved in have lots of fun and take on the 300+ challenge togther. Orchard Toys is well known for their impressive range of children's games and puzzles with What a Performance Board Game being one of their latest additions. It's an all action board game with over 30 challenges to act, say or do. Playing this will get you all pretending to ski down a mountain, finding something red peeling a banana, making up songs, balancing a star on your foot or making a parrot voice. There are hidden messages on the back of the playing cards, only visible with the Magic Decoder, that really brings the magic to life for children and adults alike.
Chubby Unicorn Lunch Bag (£13.99) from Fringoo - School, pre-school, days out, trips, adventures all call for a picnic lunch and this double compartment lunch bag from Fringoo is ideal for fitting everything in. Its carry handle makes it easy for children of all ages to carry themselves, so no need to put it in a backpack and the double zip on each compartment makes it easy to open fully. The two layers allow you to separate picnic items or pop in a cold block to keep everything chilled. You can order this style of lunch bag in a variety of designs, including Football, Unicorn Team, Pugs World, Space Fantasy and Animal Treats.
Rapunzel Character Set (£16.63) from Aquabeads - Aquabeads are precise, fun and available in a wide range of colours, sets and kits. The tiny beads are carefully placed in the Layout Tray provided, using the images of the characters for support, then when water is sprayed over them the magical happens. They go from being loose beads to being stuck together, creating a beautiful image that your child can be proud of. It is an activity that supports fine motor skills, precision and creativity, all while having lots of fun! Fuzzikins Campervan (£19.99), Dozy Dogs (£9.99) and Cozy Cats (£9.99) from Interplay - Fuzzikins are a range of animals that can be coloured in, washed and coloured in again! Children can use the felt tips provided and their imagination to bring the Fuzzikins Cats and Dogs to life ready to play in the Campervan Carry Case.
