RECIPE: Caprese Pull Apart Cheesy Garlic Bread

RECIPE: Caprese Pull Apart Garlic Bread
*Advertorial Content
Oozy stringy mozzarella cheese, the rich depth of sundried tomatoes and the pungent flavour of basil are such a perfect combination, but why keep them to just a caprese salad? Bringing this traditional combination together with punchy garlic and a loaf of bread makes for the most delicious pull apart cheesy bread that is ideal for sharing with friends or family. It is incredibly easy and quick to make too, using largely store cupboard ingredients. My children also really enjoy helping to mix the ingredients together, spread the garlic herb butter and stuff the bread with the cheese. We love cooking together and if you do too then this is the perfect easy recipe to do together.

MEAL PLANNING: A week on a toddlers plate #2

A while ago now I put together a meal planning post featuring lots of Isabella's meals, which you can see here. It went down really well, so I thought I'd put together another one to help meal planning and ideas. It can be tricky thinking of new, interesting meals, so I hope this inspires you to try something new with your little one. All of these recipes are easy to put together and I will often make a batch of something and then give it to Isabella in different forms throughout the week, in an attempt to keep her discovering new foods, flavours and tastes.

MEAL INSPIRATION: Pan-Fried Gnocchi with a Watercress Pesto and Goats Cheese

Very rarely will I make a meal, try it for the first time and already be eager to make it again. Well that happened with this recipe, it is absolutely delicious and I seriously can't get enough of it! I think it's the combination of so much flavour, that it's easy to make and pretty versatile. If you don't have green beans you could always use asparagus or sugar snap peas, if you don't like goats cheese then you can swap it for your favourite one etc.

ONE JAR OF DOLMIO: 15 Meal Ideas

Meal planning has been such a positive change in our family life. Don't get me wrong it can be a bit of a hassle thinking up new healthy meals, but with companies like Dolmio making it easier it is certainly the way forward. We have got into a routine of cooking up a large batch meal on a Sunday evening and then having it throughout the first part of the week. My husband and I both work for the first half of the week, so there is minimal time to be cooking from scratch every night. However, cooking a large batch of something means we can have different home cooked meals every night.

RECIPE: Cheese and Carrot Savoury Bread Pudding

Savoury bread pudding...what?! Now I know it's not the 'normal' way of having bread and butter pudding, but it's a really easy, nutritious meal that is quick to make. I made this for Isabella's lunch one day and served it with broccoli and peas, but you can also let it cool down and cut into chunks for a lunch on-the-go. You could also mix up the herbs/spices, carrot and coriander are a delicious combination. Essentially it's a great 'use up whatever is in the fridge and cupboards' meal. It's cheap to make, good for slightly old bread and makes an interesting different lunch.

MEAL PLANNING: A week on a toddlers plate #1

MEAL PLANNING: A week on a toddlers plate #1
Cooking healthy, nutritious meals for children doesn't haven't to be overly time consuming or expensive. Some of my mummy friends don't understand how I have the time to cook fresh meals for Isabella every single day and the answer is I don't. She has homemade meals every meal time, but it doesn't mean I've made it fresh that day. Cooking in bulk and freezing is key, it means you can make the most of reduced items in the supermarkets and you'll always have an array of delicious, nutritious meals ready to heat up.
