A day in Cambridge + BYRON...

Due to work commitments Tom could only take 1 day off during the whole of August, so we definitely had to make the most of that one day off! We visited the Cath Kidston Factory Shop (see blog post here) and then drove on to Cambridge. I love Cambridge - all of the old buildings, amazing selection of cute shops and restaurants.

We visited this amazing burger restaurant called Byron. Now we hadn't heard of it before but it seems they have quite a number of other restaurants, mostly around the London area. I loved the simple decor of the restaurant, the menu wasn't vast but had some unique flavour combinations and their milkshakes are AMAZING!

I had the Veggie burger and Tom had the classic burger with extra bacon. The burgers don't come with sides, so we ordered French Fries (one portion is fine for two people) and then some Courgette Fries - I was intrigued. The Courgette Fries were so tasty, they were a bit like battered deep fried slices of courgette - that doesn't sound that appealing but trust me they are so yummy!

If you ever work past a Byron restaurant you have to pop in and at least try their milkshakes!

Have you visited Cambridge?
